As a CRM coach, I’ve worked with many customers who have just a couple core tasks that they repeat again and again across their work. Whether that task is “Follow up,” “Call,” or “Send Email,” there are some tasks that many of us find ourselves doing again and again with different contacts.
Now, you can save clicks and create handy task templates for your most commonly used tasks. For example, let’s say that you like to follow up with all of your new leads after 7 days. Simply create a task template in task settings. Choose the name of your task template, a due date, and a description if you’d like.

Now, the next time you are on a profile in the CRM, adding a task will be much quicker. When you go to add a new task, all of your task templates will be a click away.

In addition to task templates, you can also set a “default task.” This option is great if you’d prefer the task option to be already populated with your most common task. I recommend this option if there is a certain task you create over and over again. For example, if you make a lot of calls to customers, a simple "Call" default task will save you time.
While there can only be one default task of course, you can create as many task templates as you’d like. Tailor these task templates to your work. You could create task templates for sending thank you notes, asking for reviews, and more. You can learn how to create and use task templates here.
You can also create task templates that are assigned to other users on your account. This is a perfect option for managers and administrators to more quickly assign tasks to employees.
Quick Tip: This feature becomes even more powerful if you pair it with the option to add tasks in bulk. If you aren’t familiar with this feature, learn more here. With bulk actions, you can easily add one of your task templates to multiple contacts or companies at once. This is a great option if you’ve just called through a list of people and want to add a follow up for each person.
